Today I wanted to take a moment to share with you all the most delicious thing I have ever created in all of my life. The Eggnog Chai Protein Shake AKA Chainog.

Now, I will start by saying I don’t like protein powder. I have tried ALL kinds of different protein powders from some of the top brands in the most delicious flavours, and they’re like.. meh. I use them because they are convenient and add nutrition to some of my meals and snacks, but I don’t love them.

Anywhoooo, Arbonne this holiday season released one of their new flavours, chai. I will say, I love me some chai. I love chai tea, I love chai lattes, I love all the spices that are involved with chai and because I’m a sucka for chai I bought the goddamn protein powder.

Arbonne’s protein powders are plant-based from pea protein, they provide 20g of protein per serving, 15g carbohydrate, 4g fibre and a boatload of vitamins and minerals. They are vegan and gluten free FYI. On the note of this protein powder, I have mixed it with only water, and it was amazballs, I mixed it with unsweetened vanilla coconut almond milk, it got better… and then I came up with this concoction and I don’t know if it gets better honestly.

Chainog Protein Shake!

People are all about cinnamon and peppermint these days, I’m all about cloves and nutmeg! (seriously, give these badboys a try)

I individually pack single servings of protein powder into snack size ziplock baggies and keep them in my gym bag, my car, my office and sometimes my purse. You know.. no excuses, right?

Milk, because milk is bomb and I love it. A milk alternative would also work just as nice and provide some added flavour, not that it needs it, but yah know.

Unsweetened vanilla almond milk I feel would taste especially delicious.

The star of the show right here. Some say its nasty, I say it made with eggs so its gotta be good.

All the spices. Actually, just cloves, and nutmeg, but you could do more or less or add some cinnamon to that.

Ingredients:

  • 2 scoop chai protein powder (1 serving)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup light eggnog
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg

Directions:

  • Add all ingredients to blender or shaker bottle and blend until smooth.
  • Pour over ice
  • Devour
